Saturday

Saturday went wonderfully. We met up with Henry and Lauri Camphouse in Mountain Home. We exchanged trailers and had a short visit. Super nice people. I'm looking forward to the dairy shows and getting to visit more, and see Lauri's herd :). The new trailer is AWESOME! Lots more room.
My sis and I had a candle party that evening. It was our best one yet! We're going to hold one bi-monthly. Everyone had a great time, and enjoyed sampling/smelling all the products there. Dumby me, forgot my binder, and a couple demo items, but we did all right without them.
Molly and Parker have been.....busy......so, should have puppies in April.
Weather here is finally warming a little. Instead of snowing, it's sprinkling rain.

New happenings

Well, the barn is geting closer to completion. Yesterday we went down, and bought panels to side the barn with. They are essentially 1x6x2' boards laminated together to make a 2'x4' panel. They're made of pine, and will look beautiful! Haven't decided to paint, or not.
We also picked up some used panels/gates which will work to separate different areas and such.
Now just getting them in place with 4' of snow.
Waiting on my "New to me" trailer is a killer, but will be well worth it! Also thinking of buying my brother-in-law's truck, and just selling mine. All will be figured out this week, hopefully :).

Praying the candle party on Sat. turns out good! Here's the candles www.cambridgecandles.scent-team.com

To Blog? or Not?

Welcome to the blog! I will periodically write about happenings and such on the place, post pictures, and sometimes just yap about things that interest me.
Right now kidding is around the corner, and things are in a hussle to get kidding pens built. The barn is in a state of suspension until money comes in to get it done. I have grand plans with electricity, heated automatic waters, and a storage room with sink, fridge, and heat/a/c. But who knows how far we'll get. :oP.
The winter has been the worst one in years. We have about 3' of snow. The cold, and worms has taken care of culling 2/3rds of my herd. Basically a catastrophy, but I'm looking on the bright side. We took care of the worms, and discovered an inexpensive preventative (naturally!), the weather is warming, snow melting, and kids are due soon.
Plans are underway for new pastures, grazing opportunities, and making things more efficient! Stay tuned!
Website work has been keeping me busy, and looks to stay that way for a while.
Signing out,
Mikel
